Steven Veach was born in California but lived in small towns all over the American west (including Alaska). From being "on the road" so often at such an early age, Steve grew to recognize and love the icons of the era: the billboards, the signage, the planes, trains, and automobiles of this traveling society. His early drawings to keep busy during long stints on the road shaped his artistic talent.

Eventually Steve's love of art lead to a BA in Graphic Communication from
San Diego State University. After many years as an award-winning art director at companies and ad agencies on both the East and West Coasts, Steve returned to both San Diego and to his love of illustration. He now devotes his full time to creating images that help his clients convey their stories.

Steve and his wife Louise Torio are restoring two houses in the Sherman Heights Historic District near downtown San Diego. Steve's paintings are in many private collections.
